I just want to pass on my condolences. I met Marty twenty or so years ago when I was a aspiring cartoonist. Marty and I had an instant rapport. His warmth, genuine gentlemanly demeanor and sense of humor were a consummate part of his character. Not to mention his cartooning abilities that were in a class of there own. Marty took time out to encourage me to pursue my cartooning but more than that, Marty took time out to be my friend. My regret is that I lost touch with him the past few years. But with Marty a year could pass and you'd pick up the friendship right were you left off. The last time I saw Marty was several years ago, he came to one of my "Philly Cheesesteak" parties... that was a long drive for him to make and it was in the middle of summer. He gifted me with a full color Playboy original which is framed and hangs proudly in my office and will always serve to remind me of Marty, his genoosity and the fact that you can be a distinguished gentleman and still tell a good dirty joke. Thanks Marty. Wherever you go and whatever you do, May the luck of the Irish be there with you.
